Though the best way to make a car sparkle is to wash it, the second-best way is to apply a new coat of paint every time it gets dirty. Refuse to accept second-best with this Groupon.

Paintball combines the philosophies of Sun Tzu's The Art of War with anecdotes from Jackson Pollock's autobiography, I Will Fight Your Painting. Hone combat aesthetics with this Groupon.
Choose From Three Options $30 for an open-play paintball package for two including rental marker, 250 paintballs per person, and protective gear (a $91 value) $59 for the above package for four (a $182 value) $110 for the above package for eight (a $364 value)
Battles rages across 15 themed battlefields at CPX Sports, each strewn with the husks of old cars or mock abandoned towns. After arriving at CPX and signing a waiver, paintballers trek through the ruined cityscapes and dense trees of CPX's varied battlefields to scope out tactically advantageous places to play dead. Once they've geared up with a paintball gun and 250 paintballs, prismatic sharpshooters traverse paintball fields that include The Jungle of Doom, Armageddon, and the Town of Bedlam. The open-play pass is valid for the whole day, and combatants can refill CO2 and high-pressure tanks as many times as they desire.
CPX SportsA hailstorm of paint projectiles rains down upon CPX Sports' more than one dozen fields, each of which poses different challenges and requires specialized tactics. The crown jewel of the park is the Town of Bedlam, a massive maze of small-town 1950s buildings that jut out between streets dotted by paint-splattered cars and streetlights. There, snipers poke their heads out of the central city hall's tower as the opposing team hides out or checks for abandoned shampoo samples inside the post office. The Jungle of Doom drops teams into a heavily wooded field to vie for control of a central temple, and chromatic combatants weave between desiccated cars in the Wastelands, attempting to collect the most gas cans. A full pro shop outfits players with markers, protective gear, and Sesame Street coloring books for target practice.

Dairy QueenOn a warm August day in 1938, a father and son unveiled the first sample of what was to become Dairy Queen, selling 1,600 samples on the first day, a feat as unheard of as a dragon that breathes ice. Its ensuing prolific expansion was fueled by its frozen treats, which propelled the dessert shop from 100 stores in 1947 to 1,446 in 1950. Today, their dessert recipes remain largely unchanged, and Dairy Queen has added hearty grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, and fried chicken to its menu. Dairy Queen's enormous dessert menu boasts treats ranging from soft-serve cones and blizzards filled with cookies to takeaway ice-cream sandwiches and cakes.

New Boutique Hotel Steps from Michigan Avenue
Located one block east of Chicago's Magnificent Mile, Ivy Boutique Hotel opens in May 2012 as the newest work from Arthur Minor, who designed The Palms Hotel in Las Vegas. With swanky amenities including mirror televisions and theater surround sound in all guest rooms, the hotel seems poised to become one of the city's most exclusive hotels. Although the Ivy rises up 15 stories, there are only five guest rooms per floor, providing guests with a mixture of intimacy and comfort that makes it "the only true boutique luxury hotel in the city," according to HotelChatter.
After guests check in via iPad, hotel staff members personally escort them to 675-square-foot king suites. A paragon of modern design, the suites contain platform beds with white leather headboards and floor-to-ceiling windows that open. Eco-friendly bamboo flooring, along with organic towels and rugs made from thistle, help to reduce the hotel's carbon footprint. Guests can watch the flat-screen TV set in the vanity mirror while getting ready in the morning or practice Tarzan-style affirmation chants in the rainforest shower.
The Ivy is also in the process of opening an intimate 30- to 40-person restaurant and bar on the first floor. "We will try to use as much organic produce as possible," manager James Cazares says of his upcoming, reservations-only hot spot. A rooftop lounge opening in June will offer picture-perfect views of the city.
Gold Coast, Chicago: Ritzy Residential Neighborhood with Historical Mansions and Hip RestaurantsLocated north of downtown, Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood hugs the shore of Lake Michigan, occupying some of the city's most desirable real estate. Its reputation as an upscale residential spot dates back to 1882, when wealthy businessmen began building castle-like mansions along the waterfront. For a glimpse at these historical estates, head to the Seven Houses on Lake Shore Drive District, where you'll find a French-chateau-inspired mansion that now serves as the International Museum of Surgical Science. A walk down Astor Street reveals some of the city's most unique architecture, including the Charnley-Persky House built by Louis Sullivan and Frank Lloyd Wright in 1892.
Those looking for a hip nightlife will find trendy restaurants and nightclubs-many of which are open until 5 a.m.-catering to a well-dressed crowd. For people watching and the occasional celebrity sighting, head to Rush and Division, a see-and-be-seen spot dotted with upscale shops, classic Chicago bars, and diamond-encrusted parking meters.

Driving a shiny car is a great way to experience luxurious transportation without the hassle of chartering a yacht or riding a peacock to work. Transform regular vehicles into ritzy rides with this Groupon.
Choose Between Two Options $20 for three Funkadelic car washes (up to a $68.97 value) $69 for a full auto detailing (a $149.99 value)

Soundz Good ChicagoThough its name brings CD players and subwoofers to mind, Soundz Good Chicago does much more than just amplify the sound waves rolling out of car speakers. The siren song of its many stereo and audio systems certainly tickles the ears-but so does the groggy chirp of a remote starter and keyless entry device, as does the joyful ballad of a car alarm fending off would-be thieves and errant grocery carts.
Soundz Good's staff also tends to a vehicle's aesthetics and utility. Its full-service car wash includes detailing services and can handle motorcycles, too. To prepare trucks for years of satisfying snowman ramming, they hook them up with grill guards or snow plows, and cut in new sunroofs to help drivers catch far more raindrops than they ever could before.

Midtown Manhattan is home to some of the world's most talked-about landmarks, from the Empire State and Chrysler Buildings to Rockefeller Center and the bright lights of Times Square. Allow us to draw up the blueprints for this week's well-engineered Escape to The Gotham Hotel on 46th Street, a sleek boutique property offering personal touches in a prime locale: sandwiched between all the action of Madison and Fifth Avenues, formerly the space of the beloved Gotham Book Mart. And don't be surprised by the lack of a check-in desk: Upon your arrival, a staff member will greet you with a VIP welcome amenity before escorting you to your accommodations. Airy, light-filled guest rooms are appointed with streamlined European furnishings, tailored minibars, and lavish linens. Your Escape also includes an upgrade to a Gotham 3 Room Type when available. On floors ten through 23, these units feature king beds and private terraces with views of the skyline. Z!NK magazine describes a stay here as "a new type of hotel experience in the center of Midtown Manhattan. With terraces off of every room, guests feel as if they are floating above the city." When hunger comes knocking at the door, rest assured you'll stay well fed with assorted fresh pastries and a daily breakfast for two. In the evening, cozy up to your companion during dinner at on-site restaurant Tenpenny. You'll use your $50 dining credit to savor Italian-American cuisine that Z!NK says "hearkens back to the American cuisine of old" when "New York City was an up-and-comer in the restaurant world." The next morning, structure your day however you like: You'll be within walking distance of some of the city's best sights, including Central Park, the Theatre District, and 30 Rock. Or, browse the likes of Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman, and Saks along the retail mecca that is Fifth Avenue. And you better learn the habits of these mystical creatures, because with this week's Escape to Salishan Spa & Golf Resort, you are one. You and a friend are migrating to this 250-acre gem nestled between Lincoln City and Newport for one night in a Premier Room ($149). After your journey, rest your tail in the largest and most sought-after room at the resort, complete with plush bath robes, Wi-Fi, a stone fireplace, a spacious bathroom, and a king-size bed featuring luxurious pillow-top bedding. Wake up and smell the fresh-brewed coffee at The Sun Room restaurant, where your $20 food and beverage credit will get you going in the right direction with everything from fresh seasonal fruit and homemade banana bread to Frangelico French toast with Oregon hazelnuts. Or, sleep in and use your credit at any of the resort's five diverse restaurants anytime throughout your stay. But you'll want to fuel up before hitting the resort's 18-hole, par-71 golf course, redesigned by legendary PGA pro and Oregon golfing legend Peter Jacobsen. Revered for its old-growth timber and spectacular ocean views, this is one of the few courses in the world where you can both score an eagle and spot one on the same hole. After a whale of a good time on the links-and a possible whale sighting on any of the seaside greens-take in a relaxing massage or facial at the resort's full-service spa. Next, enjoy wineries, casinos, museums, aquariums, beaches, shopping, and world-class sport fishing just minutes from the resort. Alas, like all good things, this Escape will eventually come to an end. But fear not: Like the salmon and whales, you'll soon return for another taste of this coastal paradise. For additional information, visit Salishan Spa & Golf Resort on Facebook.

Microdermabrasion makes faces look younger, allowing parents to pose as their own children during high-school football tryouts. Put on your game face with today's Groupon to MG Rejuvenation Center. Choose from the following options:
For $45, you get a choice of one facial, chemical peel, or Vibraderm microdermabrasion treatment (up to a $125 value). For $85, you get a choice of any two facials, chemical peels, or Vibraderm microdermabrasion treatments (up to a $250 value). For $119, you get a choice of any three facials, chemical peels, or Vibraderm microdermabrasion treatments (up to a $375 value).
Groupon customers may opt for three of the same treatment or mix and match different services.
The anti-aging experts at MG Rejuvenation Center help keep skin fit with flexible treatments that evolve to suit each client's specific needs and unique skin type. To begin, a clinician inquires into patient goals and may perform a comprehensive analysis to help build an individualized plan for skin health or tiny awnings to shade the forehead. Four types of custom facials purify the face, neck, back, and shoulders with products designed to hydrate dull dermal landscapes. Organic Ormedic facials gently brighten complexions with soothing essential oils and medical-grade peptides, whereas acne facials purge excess oil and buildup with a refreshing cocktail of retinol, enzymes, and benzoyl peroxide. For skin in need of resurfacing, chemical peels steep the epidermis in exfoliating formulas blended to refine texture and dissolve cells damaged by mild scarring, sun exposure, or cheek pinching from the wrinkled hands of Uncle Time. Vibraderm microdermabrasion treatments forgo sprays of potentially irritating microcrystals, instead relying on a textured wand to buff away dead tissue and restore a healthy tone. In addition to diminishing discoloration and acne, one exfoliation enhances absorption of topical products such as chemical peels, and three sessions may stimulate the skin to produce firming collagen.

Though frozen kefir's tangy swirls are best known for containing less fat than ice cream, they also form the country of Antarctica's foundation. Dive into a palatable paradise with this Groupon.
Choose Between Two Options $10 for a $20 Cosmic Card, valid toward anything on the menu $250 for two hours of Starfruit food-truck service at a private event (a $500 value)
Starfruit's Lifeway-kefir-based frozen treats satisfy sweet teeth and recharge the body with 10 live probiotics paired with creamy desserts and fresh fruit toppings. Customers cool off with a sundae of pomegranate kefir ($3-$5) adorned with raspberries and sliced pineapple ($1 for the first topping; $0.50 for each additional topping), and create-your-own parfaits with vanilla, cappuccino, and blueberry flavors ($3-$5) please patrons and indecisive hydras alike.
For the first option, the company's pink-and-white food truck takes a break from cruising the streets to park for up to two hours at any private event within a 20-mile radius of zip code 60614. There, the truck's staff dishes out two flavors of cold kefir treats with unlimited toppings.
StarfruitAs an ancient shepherd wandering the hills, one could easily get a little thirsty. Carrying fresh milk in their leather pouches, hungry herders realized the liquid inside sometimes fermented, resulting in a bubbly, tangy beverage they named kefir, or "good feeling." Though its deliciousness was obvious, no one could know how nutritious kefir actually was. As it turns out, kefir contains even more healthy bacteria than yogurt, which helps to restore the body's balance with 10 active probiotic cultures.
Years later, Starfruit made another discovery: like yogurt, kefir can be frozen into a sweet, dessert-like treat. Made from Lifeway-brand kefir and medleys of fresh fruit, Starfruit's sundaes and smoothies help boost the immune system, aid in digestion, and even fight lactose intolerance. Not content with simply healthy bodies, Starfruit helps keep the planet healthy as well, purchasing renewable wind energy to offset 100% of the electricity used to make their products. Just as the snacks contain antibiotic- and hormone-free milk from local, Midwestern dairy cows, chefs acquire all fruit toppings from the seasonal stocks of local farms-which means that, while Starfruit stores may not always have strawberries available, when they do, the berries are always fresh and never contain California strawberries' slicked-back stems and surfboards.

After going 2-0 in their first games of exhibition play, the Schaumburg Boomers step up to plate for their inaugural season in the independent Frontier League. Throughout three matchups-including against West Division rivals the River City Rascals-the team showcases both its seasoned talents as well as its rookie players wielding freshly whittled bats. Infielder Gerard Hall earned his stripes as a 2011 Midwest League all-star after racking up 14 doubles and four triples with the Kansas City Royals' low-A affiliate, and outfielder Sean Mahley hopes to repeat his .378 batting average and 14 stolen bases over 45 games last year as a senior at the University of the Cumberlands.
Located in Schaumburg, Boomers Stadium was built in 1999 to the exact dimensions of Wrigley Field, both to pay tribute to Chicago's iconic stadium and to trick Harry Caray's ghost into finally footing his 17-year-old Cracker Jack bill. The team's mascot Coop, an indigenous prairie chicken, pumps up fans for postgame fireworks on May 27 and defends his honor against The San Diego Chicken's antics during the game on July 2.

Choose from Three Options $75 for a BYOB Chocolate 101 class for one, including a box of chocolate to take home (a $200 value) $149 for a BYOB Chocolate 101 class for two, including a box of chocolate for each to take home (a $400 value) $499 for a private, BYOB Chocolate 101 class for up to 12 (up to a $2,400 value)
In a 2.5-hour class, students learn how to choose chocolate, what raw chocolate tastes like, where it comes from, and how it's tempered. They may also make truffles, candies, and chocolate bars. Nonprivate classes are capped at eight students each. Certain classes are BYOB; Chocolat Uzma Sharif will confirm this when clients call to make their reservation. Drinkware is not provided for these classes.
Chocolat Uzma SharifDuring her rotations as a pastry chef in culinary school, Uzma Sharif caught the eye of her head chef by drizzling chocolate with the same technique she used to decorate hands with henna. "You're going to be a great success with that someday," he predicted. The roots of her talents as a chocolatier go back even deeper, however. In Pakistan, her pastry-chef grandfather was well known for his delicate pink macaroons, and her mother and seven aunts each inherited their father's baking skills. In January 2011, Uzma followed in her family members' footsteps, founding her own shop to purvey her hand-crafted chocolate creations as Chocolat Uzma Sharif.
These confections brim with unexpected ingredients, such as candied rose petals, Kashmiri chai, and cardamom, or glow with floral colors, such as the pinks and blues on the ombre butterflies that are Uzma's current favorite. The chocolatier handpicks the ingredients that go into her sweet creations, choosing all-natural, organic options when possible. Focused on perfecting a small selection of goods, she makes her chocolates in small batches and packages them in eco-friendly boxes she's designed herself.
During chocolate classes at her Pilsen kitchen, Uzma teaches students about the origins of raw chocolate and the science behind making a bar with the right sheen and snap. Uzma also shares methods for choosing good chocolate from store shelves, starting with deciphering the percentages on the label and asking it whether it's been naughty or nice.

Dr. Nicolas Sanez targets fat and cellulite on the abdomen, chin, back, or side of the thighs with the i-Lipo Ultra laser system. The noninvasive treatment can accelerate the body's natural process of releasing fatty acids stored in cells. All areas except the chin also include a vacuum massage, which can enhance circulation, promote collagen growth, and help the tissue absorb the device's infrared energy. Up to eight twice-weekly sessions may be required for optimal results.
Lipo Laser of NorthWest IndianaAt Lipo Laser of NorthWest Indiana, physician and surgeon Dr. Nicolas Sanez performs noninvasive, nonsurgical laser treatments as an alternative to liposuction. He employs the i-Lipo Ultra system, a low-level laser device that addresses specific areas of stubborn fat and cellulite. The system leaves skin feeling smooth thanks to a combination of infrared rays, vacuum massage, and voiceover narration by Al Green, and is often used to contour trouble spots that have not responded to other weight-loss methods.

Bill's Pizza & PubStuffed deer antlers, a large canoe suspended from the ceiling, and carvings of bears surround diners at Bill's Pizza & Pub. The northwoods seeps indoors at the venerable pizza place, which exhibits the idiosyncratic decor of a lodge. The wood-grained eatery first established its novel dining room more than 50 years ago, when its founder and namesake converted a garage into a roadside pizza joint. There, Bill and his wife, Pat, devised the double-decker pizza that still emerges piping hot from the kitchens at two locations. Both locales exhibit the same relaxed setting, in which families can scarf double-decker slices and freely toss peanut shells to the floor or out windows at mounted policemen.

$79 for 90-Minute Laser-Tag Outing with Equipment Rental for Four (Up to $160 Value)Up to 30 players use included laser equipment to engage in tactical scenarios in indoor and outdoor spaces. Team Combat Live
The team sits silently, trigger fingers poised to unleash the simulated ammo in their laser-tag guns. Nearby, one of their teammates waits to be rescued. The team's leader creeps forward, checks the area, and gestures to the others. They locate their captured comrade, but something is amiss: the pilot's head is shaking. The air fills with flashes of light, and the battle is over.
Team Combat Live uses laser tag as a means to act out immersive tactical scenarios, foster team camaraderie, and covertly scan supermarket barcodes. In indoor and outdoor spaces, combatants run, crouch, and fire, using the same laser gear employed by SWAT teams and Special Forces. To further hone tactical skills, Team Combat Live sprinkles each battlefield with ammo boxes and medic locations. Their instructors, including a certified SWAT instructor, also host summer camps that teach tactical maneuvers.

Like glaciers and tectonic plates, teeth are slowly yet surely on the move as they attempt to turn their host's mouth into frozen tundra and then rip it apart like a bite-size Pangaea. Defeat devious teeth with today's Groupon: for $2,999, for you get a complete Invisalign orthodontic treatment at Advanced Family Dental's locations in Crest Hill, Frankfort, Lockport, Lombard, Naperville, Plainfield, Romeoville, Shorewood, and Woodridge (up to a $6,200 value). The complete Invisalign orthodontic treatment includes the following:
Initial exam X-rays Dental impressions Aligners
The experienced licensed general dentists and orthodontists of Advanced Family Dental restore order to unruly mouthscapes with Invisalign orthodontic treatments. Invisalign straightens crooked chompers with a combination of highly advanced, 3-D computer graphics and the spells of old-fashioned orthodontia. The Invisalign process eschews cumbersome braces for clear, removable aligners that are virtually invisible to the unclothed eye. An initial exam, including x-rays, photos, and impressions of your mouth terrain, paves the way for a flurry of calibrated teeth sheaths that are designed to slowly shift walnut crackers into perfect alignment.
Depending on the client's teeth, as few as 12 or as many as 48 separate aligners will need to be worn during a period of 6-15 months before the straightening effect finally self-actuates in a sudden burst of pink smoke and slobber. Aligners are only removed when eating, brushing, flossing, or modeling a finely clenched jaw. Today's Groupon does not include posttreatment retainers, which may be recommended by the general dentists and orthodontists. View some Invisalign FAQs here.

Customers can choose between two 4.5-hour pool sessions or four 2-hour sessions.
Classes take place at the Prairie Valley Family YMCA in Elgin or the Alfred Campanelli YMCA in Schaumburg, although students must visit the Sea Lions Dive Center first to complete paperwork. Each course includes tanks, regulators, gauges, buoyancy-compensator jackets, weights, and belts. However, students must bring or rent their own masks, snorkels, boots, and fins. All students also receive 10% off purchases at the shop, including masks, which can be swapped out for free if they don't fit.

Performance camps take the skills acquired in precision lessons and apply them directly to the field by developing off-the-ball movement, improved agility, and an education on the tactical elements of each sport. Camps run 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Friday.
Sports Made PersonalThe trainers at Sports Made Personal have youthful passions for soccer and lacrosse, and channel that alacrity into focused and goal-oriented skill sets. Whether training in an individual or group setting, they teach players how to identify their own individual strengths and weaknesses. Trainers help with this process by tailoring their programs to factors such as skill levels, personalities, learning tendencies, and opinions on mascots. After repetitive coaching on basic skills, players can put them to use in game environments where the competitive nature of professional training comes into play. Stemming from their own backgrounds in collegiate and professional play, trainers expand upon the physical aspects of games by fine-tuning the technical aspects of each sport, eliminating players' tendencies to pick up the ball and eat it.

Country loungeA lot has changed in the past 70 years: humans landed on the moon, rock 'n' roll stormed the charts, and the Internet revolutionized the way people laugh at cat pictures. While innovations are good for grabbing headlines, the chefs at Country lounge see the value of keeping things classic. In addition to juicy steaks and sauce-laden pastas, their bill of fare calls back to art deco decadence with bygone dishes such as shrimp de jonghe and oysters rockefeller. Dinners unfold at tables clad in burgundy-colored cloth, and a full-service bar offers post-meal cocktails.
